Library Ads at Grocery Stores, Buses, and Washrooms - Canada

The Calgary Public Library (Alberta, Canada) is using its $39,000 marketing budget to catch the attention of the public by placing advertisements in the food section of Real Canadian Superstores, on local buses and library vans, and even in washrooms. The campaign slogan is “Everything you’re into,” and the advertisements feature such lines as “from barbecue to bull riding” and “from ham to Hamlet.”... As with any innovative or "out there" idea, some citizens complained about spending money on marketing. Good to know those citizens took notice of the library ads!
