The other day or so, someone on PUBLIB listserv asked for examples of readers maps. See some examples: Literary Map of Maine and Google Lit Trips. Google Lit Trips has a tutorial on getting started with Google Maps to document great road trips. According to the website, Google Lit Trips is "an experiment in teaching great literature in a very different way. Using Google Earth, students discover where in the world the greatest road trip stories of all time took place... and so much more."
What a great idea. I could have used this idea years ago when I did an annotated bibliography of "Good Travel Reads" for my daughter's elementary school.
