Literary Cruise -- Book it to Bermuda

While on vacation in Mexico, at breakfast I'd get a cup of coffee and a New York Times "Digest" of top news stories. On January 1, 2007 a headline caught my eye. "Readings at Sea" described literary or book lover cruises. Also called "Ship Lit." Great idea for a themed vacation.

On the East Coast, the author and literary-themed cruise "Book it to Bermuda" travels via Royal Caribbean’s Jewel of the Seas.

On the West Coast, there has been an Authors at Sea cruise from Long Beach to Mexico. The website had information for an earlier book lovers cruise and a note saying that the next cruise is planned for 2008. To learn more about the next cruise, readers are directed to the website, NovelEvents. com and encouraged to check it from time to time. Ports of Call for the 2006 cruise was Los Angeles/Long Beach, CA and two Mexican cities, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. Cruise ship was the Carnival Pride. I'd like to meet someone who went on a literary cruise.
