November in LibraryLand

November is the time of year when many California librarians gather together at professional development conferences. November is when this virtual librarian becomes "live" and engages in face2face conversations. It is a real treat to be in the company of librarians. Librarians are very special people.

Academic, public, school, and special librarians and libraries share common issues and technologies, yet often are unaware of what other types of libraries are doing. This California-based Library Advocate belongs to a number of library and related organizations, follows library issues and how libraries are using technology, looks for library grants and other funding sources, and advocates for libraries and librarians.

This blog is a place where I can post library-related hotlists (collections of websites), comment on trends or conferences, list recently read books, and generally experiment with blogging. November is a good month to start the Advocate4Libraries blog.
